Implement a strategy and automation early in your business to set and forget and set your business apart from the competition.
Number of 5-Star Reviews Needed:
10 reviews or less will signal a small business. Ideally you will be a 4.9 or 5 stars. As you are so focused on starting your business, automate this and fast forward through the milestones.
As you progress, at 25 reviews you are an established small business. Ideally you are at 4.9 or 5 stars. Now is the time to set in stone a process to get both quality and quantity of reviews.
Now you are setting your business apart from the little guys but still building your business. This is OK if your nearest competitors are less than 100 reviews. At this point you can hit the next milestone within 6 to 12 months with a good strategy and automation in place.
Congratulations! You hit the first big milestone. Less than half of small businesses hit 100, surprisingly. Now you are more established and trust higher. 4.8 is ok, but aim for 4.9 or 5 stars
You are now in the top 25% of small businesses, you are well established and with a rating of 4.8 or higher, you are set. Of course 4.9 or 5 stars would be best.
BOOM! You made it to the top of the small business food chain and now are amongst the big dogs. If your nearest competitor has 2X or 3X reviews, game on! With an automated process you can get there too. Well done. Aim for 4.9 or 5 stars and you are unstoppable.
